It seems N.A.R. Super Apostle Rick Joyner is upset with the U.S. Supreme court ruling upholding The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare). Joyner has penned a sharply worded rebuke to the court and Chief Justice John Roberts.
Dazed and Confused
The Oak Initiative is a political action group designed to mobilize Christians to engage in the great issues of our time from what they call “a sound Biblical worldview”. Based on their previously published strategy to defeat Obamacare, it appears that their worldview is neither sound nor Biblical. The following note appeared on the OI website in the weeks leading up to the court ruling. It has since been deleted. After reading it I’m sure you can see why it was scrubbed but we managed to find a cached copy.
A Note from The Oak Initiative
I should note that the prayer strategy was apparently not written by Rick Joyner himself but its inclusion on the website suggests his implicit endorsement if not his full approval. Certainly the ideas expressed in the prayer strategy are well within the realm of Joyner’s doctrine. Praying for angels to produce favorable results for believers has long been part of Joyner’s stock and trade.

Now Joyner is telling us our hope for salvation from Obamcare lies in the election of Mitt Romney this November.
We will get over being dazed, and we will get over being confused, and this can ultimately work for good. No doubt this will help mobilize and energize Americans who believe their most basic liberties are being trampled and stolen from them. It has likely handed Mitt Romney a huge gift to campaign on, even though Obama claimed to model his bill after the one Romney had passed when Governor. Even so, Romney had pledged to repeal Obamacare, and substantiated his resolve to do this…Special bulletin 12-2012
That is surely the answer. Vote for Mitt Romney, the man who enacted a virtually identical health care bill in Massachusetts. Mormon Mitt Romney, the man who believes he’s evolving into Godhood. Let’s continue down the path blazed by Jerry Falwell and his Moral Majority because after all, since the religious right became engaged in political action, the country has become much more godly hasn’t it? Let’s keep doing the same thing over and over convinced that this time we’ll get a better result!
That’s the ticket. Let’s keep listening to these guys. Surely they wouldn’t mislead us, would they?
Behold, I [am] against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.
….. O my people, they which lead thee cause [thee] to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
For the leaders of this people cause [them] to err; and [they that are] led of them [are] destroyed.
